Diana Varinsky has successfully passed the qualification at the world Championships in Montreal.
Varinsky managed to qualify in the all-around with a result of 53,915 points 16-year-old Ukrainian took seventh place, behind Japanese Mai Murakami almost two points.
One final Varinsky secured on the uneven bars – Diana in the qualification gained 14,566 points and rounded out the eight finalists. In
this discipline is dominated by Russians – Elena Eremina (15,100) and Anastasia Ilenkova (15,066).
Varinsky also can participate in the finals in exercises on a log. In qualifying Ukrainka took tenth place and fell to the Protocol status of the second spare.
Finals Varinsky became Ukraine’s first since 2010 in women’s gymnastics. Diana can break the 11-year break without medals. The last time a Ukrainian gymnast became the prize-winner of the world Cup in 2006, when Irina Krasnyanskaya became a champion in exercises on a log.
The final in the all-around competition will take place on 6 October, and on individual apparatus gymnasts will perform on 7 and 8 October.
