New star Ukrainian athletics Yulia Levchenko won the second place on the stage of the Diamond League in Monaco.
Last week Levchenko in Bydgoszcz (Poland) with a personal record (1.96 m) won the youth European championship. In Monaco, the Ukrainian showed that in 19 years can carry on into adult category.
On the stage of the Diamond League events at the second attempt, conquered the bar at a height of 1.97 meters, which became not only a new personal record of Julia, but the best result of the youth of Ukraine.
Levchenko Monaco lost only the unconditional leader of the season by the other Russian Maria Laecken that with a score of 2.05 meters broke the tournament record that stood since 1991.
Levchenko in 2014 became the champion of the summer youth Olympic games. Later promising Ukrainian debuted on the adult world championship and the Olympics.
2017 becomes a breakthrough in the career of the Ukrainian – Levchenko in the beginning of the year in Belgrade won bronze at the European Championships indoors, and now twice in one week updated personal record.
