Poland will give Ukraine a loan.
The state Agency of highways of Ukraine (“Ukravtodor”) on 7 September signed the contracts for project works of capital repairs of road sections on the Ukrainian-Polish border with two Polish companies – Drog-Bud Sp.z.o.o. and Unibep S. A.
For these purposes will be sent to the Polish loan.
On signing the agreement on the provision of funds for EUR100 million agreement between the governments of Ukraine and Poland in September 2015. In force the agreement entered in April 2016. The document envisages the development of transport infrastructure at the Ukrainian-Polish border, the improvement of transport and operational condition of 144 km access roads to the border with Poland, bringing to European standards of safety requirements on the roads of Ukraine.
In may 2017 were announced tenders for the design and repair of roads in the Lviv and Volyn regions. According to their results, with the company Drog-Bud Sp.z.o.o. contracts for the repair of the road Ustyluh – Lutsk – Rivne (13 km) in Volyn region and sites PPC “Smilnytsia” – Staryi Sambir (3 km), Yavoriv – Pears (19.5 km), Nyzhankovychi – Sambir – Drogobych – Stryi (46.5 km), Chervonograd – Rava Ruska (53 km). The company Unibep S. A. was the winner in the tender for the repair of the road Hrushiv – Nemiroff (9 km) in the Lviv region.
The cost of works in the Lviv region, under contracts amounted to EUR53. 4 million Work on sites Nyzhankovychi – Sambir – Drogobych – Stryi, Chervonograd – Rava Ruska will be carried out in 2018-2019, for the rest – in 2018.
The cost of design work and a major overhaul of the road Ustyluh – Lutsk – Rivne amounted to EUR 4.8 million Work will be performed in 2018.
The signer of contracts, the head of the Service roads in the Lviv region Ruslan Candybar reminded that these tenders were conducted on the electronic platform Prozorro. In the course of their conduct, directly repair in the field, the estimated purchase price was reduced by EUR10 million
“This is the first of an unprecedented agreement between the governments of Poland and Ukraine to improve the state of infrastructure and roads. For me this is very important, as it is very important for cooperation between the countries of the European Union and Ukraine. This is a good example of how to develop such cooperation. I hope this will be a good example of quality work. Personally ask the contractors to these projects became an example of how to do the roads in Ukraine,” – said present at the ceremony for the signing of contracts by the head of “Ukravtodor” Slawomir Nowak.
According to him, the fact of such cooperation is a good signal for foreign companies to enter Ukrainian market of road works.
Following such event, hopes S. Novak could be the signing of contracts for the loan agreement with Hungary.
