The Ministry of foreign Affairs of Estonia will contribute to the fight against the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine 400 000 euros, reports UNN with reference to the official website of the foreign Ministry of Estonia.
Funds will be used for the rehabilitation of housing, provision of drinking water, as well as to alleviate the plight of people forced to leave their homes.
As noted by the Minister of foreign Affairs of Estonia Sven Mixer, the armed conflict in Eastern Ukraine that continues for the last three years, have devastated the region, and the recent bombing of civilian targets in the town has aggravated the humanitarian crisis.
According to S. Mixer, due to the resumption of hostilities now in the town more than 20,000 people are forced in the winter to stay without water, heating and light. In this regard, it was decided to allocate money in order to help overcome the humanitarian crisis as soon as possible.
