Ukraine will conduct an observation flight over Russia

Only Ukraine will hold 12 flights.

Ukrainian verifiers in 2018 plan to implement the 12 observation flights under the Treaty on open skies.

It is reported in Facebook the General staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“Ukraine plans to complete 12 observation flights over territories of States parties to the Treaty on open skies, taking into account trends in the development of the security situation, the number of military activities on the territories of European countries and the Russian Federation. Missions of observation flights on the territory of the Russian Federation, Ukraine plans to hold in conjunction with the States-partners”, – stated in the message.

This initiative will represent Ukraine on 5-6 October in Vienna during a meeting of the Advisory Commission on open skies regarding the distribution of active quotas for observation flights in 2018.
