Ukraine – the first in Europe by the number of people with mental disorders

Patients are becoming more.

In Ukraine, 1.2 million residents – more than 3% of the total population – suffer from mental disorders.

It is noted that Ukraine has for several years ranked first in the number of mental disorders in Europe – almost 2 million Ukrainians each year become patients in psychiatric hospitals. According to experts, from a variety of neurological disorders affects one third Ukrainian.

According to forecasts of the world health organization, by 2020 mental disorders will be included in the top five diseases that will lead the amount of human labor associated with these diseases. Mental disorders will overtake in this regard, even cardiovascular disease, which today is traditionally kept palm in the structure of morbidity of the population of the globe.
