Ukraine sharply reduced the production of electricity

Electricity production in Ukraine (excluding the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Sevastopol and part of the zone of the antiterrorist operation) in March 2017 compared to the same month in 2016 decreased by 8.5% and amounted to 13.3 billion kWh.h.

According to the State statistics service (state statistics) in today’s report on industrial production in Ukraine.

Compared to February 2017, the electricity generation decreased by 10.4%. 3 month was 44.7 billion kW.kWh of electricity (-0.2 percent compared to the same period in 2016). The production of electricity by thermal power plants and combined heat and power plants in March 2017 by March 2016 fell 36.3% to February 2017 – by 34.2% and amounted to 3.9 billion kWh.h. For 3 months the production of electricity amounted to 17.4 billion kWh.h (-10,3%).

The production of electricity by nuclear power plants on an annual basis, grew by 10.5% in the month and increased by 3.3%, to 8 billion kWh.h. 3 months were produced 23.8 billion kWh.h (+4.1 percent). The electric power generation in March 2017 annually increased by 23.5%, month – by 21.1% and amounted to 1.2 billion kWh.h. For 3 months of 3.2 billion kWh.h (+47,3%).

The production of electricity of other power plants (wind, solar) in March 2017 by March 2016 increased by 7.1% to February 2017 – grew by 28.8% and amounted to 0.1 billion kW.h. For 3 months – 0.3 billion kW.h (-6,4%).
