Such informational passages insulting the honor and dignity of Ukrainian citizens, the Embassy stated.
The Ukrainian Embassy in Belarus gave a response to statement by Belarus on the arrest of the Ukrainian “saboteurs” who were preparing armed provocations in the country. Such charges of “insulting the honor and dignity of citizens of Ukraine,” reads the statement on the Facebook page of the Ukrainian Embassy in Belarus.
“Recently, for the Belarusian information space are relevant issues information hygiene: the prosecution of citizens of Ukraine of possible involvement in extremist activity, degrading definition to the address of the Heavenly hundred heroes and defenders of the revolution of dignity. Such informational passages insulting the honor and dignity of Ukrainian citizens,” – said in a statement.
The Embassy stressed that the statements of the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko does not contribute to the maintenance of the authority of Belarus as a “peaceful platform for the development of a constructive dialogue aimed at supporting good neighbourly relations with Ukraine.”
