Ukraine ranked among the countries with the freest Internet

In Ukraine do not oppress the rights of Internet users.

Ukraine was placed in the white zone on the map of Internet censorship, despite the ban on Russian social media sites. This is evidenced by WhoIsHostingThis, which analyzed the degree of openness of the Internet in different countries and collected the data obtained in the map of global Internet censorship.

Thus, according to the rating of the censorship in our Ukraine shall be subject only to the torrent sites.

In the white area was nearly the whole of Western Europe, Australia, and North and South America.

Black on the map marked with the most unfree countries in which censorship also extends to social networking and political media, and even prohibited pornography. Almost all of Asia the map shows in black and grey colours.

The “dark” from the standpoint of Internet freedom, countries, expected, were China, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Syria, Thailand, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. As you know, about a year ago Chinese authorities banned the largest online companies to publish the original news reports. Now on their sites can receive only those news that were previously featured in the print and online media, state-controlled.

North Korea boasts the deepest shade of black.

Some post-Soviet countries or countries from the sphere of influence of the Soviet Union, particularly Belarus, Moldova, Syria and Russia, also noted as the state in which the tightly controlled political issue. In some of them the locking for citizens is also exposed to the content in social networks.
