To accomplish this, Ukraine is planning to increase the volume of exploration works.
Ukraine expects to start exporting natural gas after 2020 due to the increase of resource extraction within the country.
Such a goal is contained in published Energy strategy of Ukraine until 2035, approved by the Cabinet.
“The main activities for implementation of strategic goals in the gas sector until 2020 and in further implementation of the necessary measures to ensure the needs of Ukraine in the volumes of natural gas of own production with the subsequent possibility of the beginning of its exports,” the document says.
To accomplish this, Ukraine is planning to increase the volume of exploration work to increase the amount of drilling, particularly at deep levels, and to improve and ensure the stability of the fiscal regime.
The strategy provides for the increase in exploration to ensure growth of resources, growth in exploration and production drilling, particularly at deep levels, and improving and ensuring the stability of the fiscal regime.
