For the first quarter of 2019 Ukraine has reduced exports from Russia by 16.4% to $595 million, or 5.3% of the total. This is evidenced by the data published on the website of the National Bank.
At the same time, in annual terms, this indicator grew by 8.8% to $1,744 billion, or 13% of the total.
The trade turnover with Russia decreased by 10.9% to 2,339 billion.
Ukrainian exports to the CIS decreased by 7.9% to $1,613 billion, with the share of exports at 13.2% of the total. Imports from these countries decreased by 6.8% to us $2,951 billion, or 22.1% of total imports, according to the materials.
The trade turnover with EU countries in the first quarter increased by 10.2%, reaching $9.5 billion, including exports to EU countries increased by 6.2% and reached $4,318 billion, while imports – by 13.8%, to $5,187 billion While the share of Ukraine’s exports to the EU accounted for 38.4% of the total volume of imports 38.8 per cent.
In General, the volume of foreign trade of Ukraine in January-March 2019 rose 7.4% to 24,625 billion. Exports of goods from Ukraine grew by 8.0% to 11,261 billion, imports by 6.8% to 13,364 billion.
Note, in 2018 exports of goods from Ukraine to Russia decreased by 7.2% or $RB 282.4 million to $3.7 billion Russia’s Share in total exports of goods from Ukraine decreased to 7.7% compared to 9.1% in 2017.
