The request of the Russian Federation to hold consultations in the WTO – attempt of pressure upon Ukraine.
Representatives of Ukraine made a request for consultations with Russia in the framework of the dispute settlement mechanism between member countries of the WTO.

You previously received an official request about this, which stated the “constant practice of trade restrictions”.
“May 19, 2017 Ukraine received an official request from Russia for consultations under the dispute settlement mechanism of the WTO in connection with, as stated by the Russian Federation, “the consistent practice of trade restrictions”. May 29, 2017 Ukraine received a request on readiness to conduct these consultations, in accordance with the norms, principles and commitments undertaken when joining the WTO”, – stated in the published message.
In the Ministry say that the Russian Federation follows the practice of permanent restrictions of the legitimate rights and interests of Ukraine, in particular by continuing the introduction of targeted trade aggression against Ukraine: “Russia’s Demand for consultations in the WTO – is the next step of the economic, commercial and legal pressure on Ukraine.”
“To protect the rights and interests of Ukraine, Ministry of economic development of Ukraine together with other interested state bodies carefully analyzes and processes the request of the Russian Federation, as well as measures that appealed to her.”
