Ukraine is preparing new sanctions against Russia – Turchynov

The decision was made due to the expansion of U.S. sanctions and the European Union.

The national security Council and defense of Ukraine instructed to prepare a new personal and economic sanctions against Russia.

This was announced by the NSDC Secretary Oleksandr Turchynov at the meeting on Monday, July 10.

“We instructed the Cabinet of Ministers, SBU and national Bank to submit in the near future, proposals to the meeting of the NSDC on expanding the sanctions list,” he said.

According to Turchynov, the decision was made due to the expansion of U.S. sanctions and the European Union.

“We cannot take these initiatives to our strategic partners… as soon As the initiators of the sanctions will make the appropriate proposals, the Council will approve them,” – said Turchinov.
