Volumes increased by 20% and exceeded 23 billion cubic meters.
In January-March 2017 Ukraine increased the transit of natural gas through the gas transportation system under contract with Russia’s Gazprom by 20% to 23,18 billion cubic meters, compared with the corresponding period in 2016.
This is evidenced by the operational data of the operator of the gas transportation system of Ukrtransgas.
In January, the transit was 8 913,01 million cubic meters (39.2%, or 2 506,7 million cubic meters more than in January 2016). In February – 7 627,5 million cubic meters (24.1%, or 1 481,1 million cubic meters more than in February 2016) and in March – 6 647,6 million cubic meters (1.8% or 123.3 million cubic meters less than in March 2016).
