Ukraine increased electricity exports by 60%

Ukraine in January 2017 increased electricity exports by 1.6 times.

Ukraine in January 2017 increased exports of electricity to 61,9% (213,8 million kWh) compared to the same period of 2016 – up to 559.4 million kWh.

This was reported by a source in the Ministry of energy and coal industry.

So, the supply of electricity with “energoostrova Burshtyn TPP” towards Hungary, Slovakia and Romania increased by 60.6 per cent (161,6 million kWh) – up to 428,3 million kWh.

The supply of electricity in Poland increased by 68.9% (53.5 million kWh) – up to 131.2 million kWh.

Last month in Moldova, Belarus and Russia, the Ukrainian electricity was exported, while in January 2016 in these countries were delivered to 1.2 million kWh.

In addition, Ukraine in January 2017, imported 4.7 million kWh of electricity (from Russia was 4.6 million kWh, to Belarus – 0.1 million kWh) vs 6 million kWh in January-2016.

Imports last month were taken into account on contracts of GP energy as a technological movement.
