Ukraine intends to offer the IMF a new formula for calculating gas prices for the population.
It is noted that a stable system of gas pricing and reform of the pension system are the main conditions for Ukraine to receive the IMF tranche of $17.5 billion.
So, next week, Finance Minister Oleksandr danylyuk and the IMF will hold talks in Washington about the situation. According to the interlocutor of the edition, in Ukraine there are two options: she either meets the requirements of the IMF, or “admits that without the Fund.”
The new formula, which the Ukrainian side is going to offer the IMF, will allow to avoid growth of prices for gas on 15%.
“According to the new proposal of the government, gas prices will rise by 4.8% compared to 17.6%, which is required by the existing system”, – said the interlocutor of the edition.
