Most of the coal Ukraine has bought from Russia.
Ukraine since the beginning of 2017, the imported 15.1 million tons of coal to nearly $2.2 million, which is 1.5 times more than the amount Ukraine paid the last two years. This is evidenced by the data of the customs State fiscal service in January-October.
So, most of the coal (55.7 per cent of the total value) Ukraine has bought from Russia for $1.2 billion On the second place U.S. by $546,8 million (25,4%), the third in Australia with $116,4 million (5.4 percent). The imports from other countries amounted to $289, 8 million (13.5 percent).
It is noted that the export of coal was carried out mainly in Russia – to the $48.7 million (55,2%), in Slovakia – at $33.1 million (37,5%), Turkey – $2.6 million (2.9%) and in other countries by $3.9 million (4.4 per cent).
