Ukraine has risen in the world ranking of steel producers

Ukraine in August climbed to 11th place in the ranking Worldsteel.

Ukraine on the results of metallurgical enterprises in August 2017, has reduced steel production by 5.5% compared to August 2016 to 1,800 million tonnes and 0.6 percent by July 2017, rising from 12 to 11th place in the ranking of 67 countries-the basic world manufacturers of this production, compiled by the world Association of steel producers (Worldsteel).

In August, recorded growth of steel production in most of the top ten countries, except Japan and Russia.

First ten countries-manufacturers of a steel following the results of August as follows: China (74,594 million tons, rising by 8.7%), Japan (8,731 million tons, a drop of 2%), India (8,474 million tons, growth of 4.1%), USA (7,064 million tonnes, growth of 6.3%), South Korea (6,160 million tons, an increase of 4.9%), Russia (5.6 million tonnes, a drop of 5%), Germany (3,629 million tons, growing by 3.3%), Turkey (3,182 million tons, rising by 13.3%), Brazil (2,955 million tons, an increase of 1.2%) and Taiwan (China, 1,960 million tons, an increase of 6.8%).

Followed by Ukraine (1.8 million tonnes, a fall of 5.5%) and Iran (1,750 million tons, an increase of 15.1%).

In General, in August 2017 67 countries made 143,580 million tonnes of steel, which is 6.7% higher than August 2016.

In the first eight months of 2017, the top ten countries producing steel are as follows: China (566,405 million tons, an increase of 5.6%), Japan (69,644 million tons, a drop of 0.4%), India (66,459 million tons, an increase of 5.1%), USA (54,703 million tons, increase by 2.4%), South Korea (47,012 million tons, growth of 3.7%), Russia (46,525 million tons, a drop of 1%), Germany (29,366 million tons, an increase of 2.1%)Turkey (24,742 million tons, an increase of 13.6%), Brazil (22,509 million tons, an increase of 9.3%), and Italy (15,585 million tons, an increase of 1.7%).

Followed by Taiwan (15,518 million tons, a growth of 7.3%) and Ukraine (14,114 million tonnes, falling 13.9%).

Overall, in January-August 2017 67 countries have made 1 billion 121,738 million tons of steel, which is 4.6% above Jan-August 2016.
