The country is experiencing deflation.
Consumer prices in August 2017 in comparison with the previous month – July, decreased by 0.1%.
In August 2017 food products fell by 0.6% (vegetables – by 21.5% and fruit – by 5.7%). While eggs rose by 18,0%, meat and meat products – by 2.9%. Prices of alcoholic beverages and tobacco products increased over the month by 1.4%, clothing and footwear fell by 2.4%, housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels rose by 0.3%, reported the State statistics service.
With the beginning of the year, prices in Ukraine increased by 8.1%. It is this level of inflation was incorporated in the state budget for the entire 2017. Subsequently, it increased to 11.2%.
It is worth noting that in July, consumer prices rose 0.2%.
In 2016, was recorded inflation of 12.4%, in 2015 – inflation of 43.3%, in 2014 – inflation of 24.9% in 2013 – inflation rate of 0.5% in 2012 deflation at 0.2% .
