Oleg Sentsov was sentenced to 20 years in prison.
The Ministry of foreign Affairs calls on Russia to release political prisoner of Ukrainian Director Oleg Sentsov, who is on hunger strike for 93 days.
This was written by a press Secretary of the foreign Ministry Marian Betz on Twitter.
“Every minute counts. 93-day hunger strike A. Sentsov. Urge Russia to release him and more than 70 hostages of the Kremlin,” wrote Betz.
As reported in August 2015 Oleg Sentsov was sentenced to 20 years in prison for allegedly “planning terrorist attacks in Crimea,” he is not guilty and considers himself a citizen of Ukraine.
May 14, 2018, the Director announced an indefinite hunger strike as long as the Russian authorities release Ukrainian political prisoners.
10 Aug lawyer Sentsov Dmitry Dinze said RTVI that the Director is allegedly ready to stop the hunger strike if at least two or three people from its list of releases.
The day before in the comments “Crimea. Realities” said Dinze, Sentsov will not stop the hunger strike and said: “Have to die – then you die.”
Despite his position and status, Sentsov remotely wants to make a film, in September, could begin remote casting.
