Ukraine bought in Russia, 80% of coal in 2017

Ukraine in the first half purchased in Russia more than 1 million tons of coal.

In January-June 2017 heat and power (CHP) and combined heat and power (CHP) Ukraine shipped 1,354 million tonnes of imported coal. While shipments from Russia in the first half amounted to 1.09 million tonnes, or about 80% of the total.

According to the Ministry of energy and coal industry.

Coal stocks in warehouses of thermal power plants and CHP in June 2017 increased by 2% (to 51.4 thousand tons) and by 1 July amounted to 2,643 million tons. Including 1 July 2017, the reserve of coal G+D amounted to 1,874 million tonnes (2,041 million tonnes by 1 June 2017), ASH+T – 768,9 thousand tons (550,4 thousand tons – to 1 June 2017).

TPPs of Ukraine in 2016, increased coal consumption by 9.4% (2,701 million tons) compared to 2015 year to 31,338 million tons.
