Two Ukrainians wanted to send goods across the border by drone

On Friday, December 8, officers of the border Department “Krakovets” in Lviv region, detained two men who tried to smuggle cigarettes across the border using the quadcopter. About it reports a press-service Mostische border detachment in Lviv region on his page in social network Facebook.

Information about the observation of the flight of unmanned aircraft across the border, Ukrainian border guards informed their Polish colleagues. The employees of the border services of the two countries began to search for violators. After some time the guards found near the border of the van and two men. During the inspection of the van found a hastily folded quadcopter brand “Phantom” and three cartons of cigarettes, prepared to move with the help of a drone. Violators were two residents of Lviv region, 59-year-old father and 36-year-old son. They were detained, and one and tobacco products were seized by the police.

For violation of the border regime in respect of the citizens, the guards made protocols on an administrative offense. In addition, upon detection of a criminal offense under article 282 of the criminal code “Violation of rules of use of airspace,” the guards informed the representatives of the National police of Ukraine.
