Twitter is testing a new service

Twitter can start to see the messages and events that match the user’s interests.

The company confirmed that it is experimenting with module “recommended reading” in the tape, in which there are relevant news. When will a full release innovations, not reported.

“We are constantly experimenting with new ways to show people the best and most relevant content on Twitter,” said a company representative.

For more than two years, Twitter has shown in the feed module with the tweets that the user might accidentally miss. Also, the service began to recommend people to whom an individual may want to subscribe to. Periodically users get links to interesting news, however in General these innovations are suggested to read someone, not something.

In the test module, more attention will be paid to content and its relevance to a specific person. It can be assumed that all of the above functions will in some way resonate with a “recommended reading”.

Twitter did not share details, but probably the service will show you content based on conversations and trending topics. Perhaps special attention the company wants to put articles in major news sources.

“Recommended reading” can Twitter make more understandable product for both new and existing users. So they will not have long to flip through the tape in search for materials, bumping into streams of random tweets from people they follow.
