The head of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Friday lashed out at Germany on the issue of combating terrorism.
“They (the German government – if) must be brought before the court for the support and concealment of terrorism”, – said the Turkish leader on Friday, in a speech in Istanbul.
Erdogan also stressed that the recently detained in Turkey, the German journalist was “an agent of Germany.”
Relations between Ankara and Berlin have deteriorated, particularly after Turkey arrested the journalist Denise Hugel from the German newspaper “Welt”. The Turkish authorities suspect him of terrorist activities.
