The US President sees no progress in relations with North Korea.
President Donald trump has told his Secretary that he is wasting his time trying to negotiate with Pyongyang on the nuclear program of the DPRK.
“Save your energy, Rex, we’re going to do what you need to do,” trump wrote in a tweet after it became clear that Washington had established a direct channel of communication with Pyongyang.
Last Saturday, Rex Tillerson has indicated the existence of such a channel, adding, however, that North Korea is not too interested in dialogue.
In recent weeks and months, the U.S. and North Korea has made increasingly harsh statements against each other.
US urges Pyongyang is ending the development of nuclear weapons and missiles.
Over the past year, Pyongyang tested several ballistic missiles, and September 3, blew up at the site of a miniature hydrogen charge, which can be equipped with Intercontinental rocket, capable, according to the authorities of the DPRK, to achieve the United States.
However, attempts to establish a dialogue between the two countries, apparently contrary to the approach of the President trump to this problem.
On Sunday, he wrote in a tweet: “I told Rex Tillerson, our wonderful Secretary of state that he is wasting his time trying to negotiate with a small man-rocket…”
Donald trump is not the first time publicly uttered the highest members of his own administration.
In August, he said, for example, that the U.S. armed forces are in full combat readiness for conflict with North Korea, just a few hours after defense Minister tried to ease tensions, saying that diplomatic efforts bear fruit.
So now just a day ago Rex Tillerson made clear that American officials have channels of communication with Pyongyang, despite the harsh rhetoric of the leadership on both sides.
When he was asked about whether North Korea to sit down at the negotiating table, us Secretary of state said: “We are looking for different possibilities, so don’t lose hope”.
However, he later acknowledged that this way is not achieved little progress.
Rex Tillerson spoke about this with journalists who accompany him on a trip to China, where meetings with President of China XI Jinping and other officials.
China is the largest trading partner of the DPRK.
Last week, Chinese authorities ordered the closure on its territory of all North Korean organizations under the new UN sanctions imposed on North Korea.
