Tried to do a “selfie”: in Russia, three teenagers killed a locomotive

Another child seriously injured.

Children in the Maritime region, which was hit by a train, wanted to take a selfie in front of an approaching locomotive, the press service of transport management of the MIA of Russia for far Eastern Federal district.

Earlier it was reported that the locomotive knocked the children on the railway stretch in Nadezhdinsky district of Primorsky Krai: three children were killed and one was seriously injured. Investigators opened a criminal case on violation of safety rules of movement and railway transportation.

“According to preliminary information determined that four teenagers, two boys 12 and 13 years together with two girls 10 and 13 years decided to make selfi on the background of passing freight trains. To do this, the teenagers stood in miuute, but did not calculate the correct distance to the approaching train,” the message reads.
