Automaker Toyota and technology Corporation have formed a consortium to jointly collect and use big data collected from connected cars.
The consortium Automotive Edge Computing Consortium included Denso, Ericsson, Intel, NTT, NTT Docomo and Toyota. Participants will create an ecosystem around big data that collect connected car.
The collected data will be used to assist drivers in real-time. The consortium plans to develop and propose new standards and architecture for the connected car.
