The company is preparing the electric vehicles charging in a few minutes.
Toyota is working on a fundamentally new electric car, which can become serial in 2022. Its main feature will be a battery of new type, which charging for a “fast” station is just a few minutes. Today’s batteries even at the stations ultra-fast recharging charge up to 80% for at least half an hour.
The electric car will be built on a new platform. In the beginning Toyota will present the car, and then the crossover and maybe the sedan with a new type of battery. Sales start in the domestic market of Japan, then the model will reach Europe and North America.
The company behind Nissan and Tesla in the creation of fully electric models, because Toyota has decided to boost the development of a brand new platform, and not to engage in fine-tuning the existing prototypes.
However, up to this point, Toyota will present several electrified models with Autonomous driving. They are launched for the Japan market in 2020, when Tokyo will host the Olympics.
