Toyota has released a super-lightweight three-wheeled electric car

Compact electric cars have no doors, roof and windshield.

At the annual auto show Automotive World 2017 in Tokyo, Toyota introduced a three-wheeled urban electric car.

Created it engineers Toyota Tsusho Electronics. Compact electric vehicle Toyota is 2.6 m long, 1.7 m wide and 0.7 m in height. Despite the heavy batteries, its weight is only 300 kg. to reduce weight, the developers abandoned the doors, windshield and roof.

In the cabin of the concept car Toyota is equipped with two Spartan seats. AC electric motor is located behind the seats and drives the single rear wheel.

Its capacity is only 11.7 kW (16 HP), but easy electrocare this is sufficient to develop 100 km/h Lithium-ion battery 10 kWh provides to the electric vehicle a range of 160 km. Considering the battery capacity, charge the electric vehicle Toyota can be very fast even from a household outlet without any additional devices.
