Tommy Wirkola talks about the TV series “witch Hunters”

In the horror community Tommy Wirkola became known as the Creator of black-Comedy zombie movie “Operation Dead Snow”, and then its sequel. Between these two films the Director had to remove vigorous dark fantasy action rated R called “witch Hunters”, which is the fifty million budget grossed over two hundred. A continuation suggests itself, but the project is frozen.

It seems to be announced, then after months of silence itself Wirkola said that while not eager to make a sequel, and wants to try original projects. Then it has information, instead of the second part of the “Hunters” can we see the show.

In the latest interview with Tommy Wirkola told the status of “witch Hunters” are now.

I had the idea to continue the story, so I wrote the first version of the script. But it was more for me. From what I hear, the second movie more dead than alive, but that’s what happens now: I’m back, in case the producers are Adam McKay and Kevin Messick, and we are developing a TV show with Paramount and MGM. The pilot writes mark Verheiden, he’s a great author, of his last works we can distinguish “Daredevil”, and we hope that soon we all will be.
I’ll be the maximum involved in the process and are going to direct the pilot episode. It’s very exciting, because our idea is great for television; the world opens wide opportunities, where you can see many interesting places, and it will be fun. I think we should not get hung up on some witches. It is quite natural that in such a world, must live and other supernatural beings. This is a fabulous world where there are no restrictions.

It is noted that in the series there will be new actors. Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arterton, best known for the original picture like Hansel and Gretel, unlikely to return to their roles. The project shines in some way restart. But the style, mood, and bloody “witch Hunters” should remain unchanged. So fans of the film should not be disappointed. As they say, we will see.
