Ukrainian legislation does not provide for restriction of access to websites without a court order.
The representative of the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for human rights Mikhail Chaplyga said that under Ukrainian law the blocking of any site is possible only in a judicial order.
President Petro Poroshenko signed a decree imposing sanctions against Russian websites – prohibition for a period of three years. Among them are Yandex and Mail.ru Group, social networks Vkontakte and Odnoklassniki and others.
“Our legislation does not provide for restriction of access to websites without a court order. That is, if there is a solution, then the access can be restricted. Another procedure does not exist”, – he said.
“Regarding the legal entities may be limitations, but about blocking sites… we have such a thing there, but only through the courts. So I would be interested to see how the ISPs to carry out the decree of the President”, – said Chaplyga.
