The researchers had 18 women, chronically sleep-deprived, completing two separate experiments: in the first, they took 50 milligrams of caffeine. In the second, they walked up and down the stairs at the right pace for 10 minutes. Participants felt much more energetic after going up the stairs than after taking caffeine, and they felt a new energy immediately after exercise, the researchers found.
The scientists also tested the working memory of the participants and the reaction time after completing the tasks. They found no difference between them in comparison with the experiment on mountaineering, based on caffeine and have shown that physical activity can increase physical energy, without draining your psychic energy.
The study was conducted for women, therefore, it is not clear whether the same effects apply to men.
