New heavy adaptation of the novel “It”, delivered by Andres, Moschetti, in actual fact, it’s hard to call it scary – it is full of pretty creepy scenes, but they are rather colorful tinsel to entertaining stories of the main characters. However, the film turned out great, which is confirmed by numerous rave reviews (including from our editorial staff – first, second and third), as well as an impressive box office.
Stephen king, as we know, the film adaptation of his works just loves (not counting “the Shining” Kubrick) – even a dull “Dark Tower” comrade King confidently recommend it to all fans of the book. But “It” king, it seems, really came in utter delight and according to the latest information watched it twice already. I wonder what the scene is hooked the writer most? Interesting twist – one that wasn’t even in the original novel! Says the film’s producer, Barbara Moschetti:
In a letter that Stephen king sent Andy (Andres, Mosketti) when I first saw the film, he wrote: “I am delighted with the women in the picture, she makes me fucking scared!”.
Indeed, the scene in which Stanley URIs occurs the lady with the flute that was rather catchy myself – especially since it is based on the children’s fears of the Director. And if it is his vision of history has managed to scare the king, is this not a true sign of the quality of work done? What scene seemed the most creepy to you?
