The presence in the diet of chocolate and a reasonable volume of red wine can help in the fight against wrinkles. These conclusions were made after research by specialists from the University of Exeter with support from colleagues from the University of Brighton.
When a person ages, DNA strands in the cells gradually lose their protective telomeres, which act like the plastic tips at the end of the laces. A team of scientists applied the compounds based on the chemical substances identified naturally in red wine, dark chocolate and red grapes and blueberries, conducting research in the laboratory. The products, meanwhile, are rich in flavonoids, which are known for their antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects. In the end, it turned out that they also helped to rejuvenate old cells, making them younger, then they began to behave like young cells.
The work of scientists is based on their earlier studies, which demonstrated that a class of genes that is called playingwise factors off as you age.
