Better to spend the whole day and explore everything slowly, so as not to miss anything interesting. The region is divided into numerous thematic and geographical sector are set around several outdoor areas.

The main feature of this complex in Golden gate Park are specialty gardens that include a Garden of Primitive Plants, Succulent Garden, Garden of fragrance, designed for the visually impaired. It contains flowers and plants with special aromas and structure of foliage. Moon Garden is different East Asian plants, but unlike the nearby Japanese tea garden, its location is off the books.

The Botanical garden also has several ‘tropical forests’ — the Mesoamerican, Asian and South-East, able to thrive here without a Conservatory due to the special climate of San Francisco. Foggy weather provides enough for tropical plants, the humidity, allowing them to acclimatise to unusual conditions.

Other highlights in the Botanical garden include gardens of South Africa with a variety of sorts of California plants and the garden with centuries-old giant sequoias. Visitors can also visit the horticultural areas of New Zealand, Chile, Eastern Australia, or explore delightful collection of colorful rhododendron. There is also a lovely children’s garden with a pond where you can relax from the sightseeing. Without a doubt, this is one of the best Botanical gardens in the world.
