The father of six children, Gordon Thorpe lives in fear of coffins and hearses. This year he tragically died after a battle with pancreatic cancer at the age of 49 years.
His widow Donna, knowing about the fears of her husband during his life, decided not to torment him after death and made a special five-seater cart for the coffin, so the event was like a bike ride, not a funeral procession.
In addition, she set a glass window in the coffin of her husband, so he enjoyed the views, while his body was being taken to the cemetery. Donna, along with three older daughters made a 20-minute bike ride to Church during the farewell ceremony, which fell on the tenth anniversary of the wedding couple.
