The state Duma adopted a bill to ban the use in Russia of anonymizers and VPN services, allows you to visit previously blocked by Roskomnadzor sites. The document was adopted in the third reading, and the Russians are strongly encouraged to prepare in advance a list of Western proxies in order not to lose access to your favorite sites.
Of course, the bill is yet to receive the approval of the Federation Council and the signature of the one whose name cannot be called, but it’s only a matter of time, because the date of its entry into force have been appointed – 1 November 2017. The bill includes a ban not only web services but also programs that are installed on users ‘ computers, that is is a VPN and even Tor. Owners of this kind of services the government will provide an opportunity to stay clean before the law – they will be given a list of banned in Russia sites, and they will have to make their own black-lists, and then they will be able to continue working on the territory of our country.
Another thing is that if the VPN will block access to the same Events, and other no less useful portals, the Russians they are no longer needed. Note that such bans are already in place in China, Belarus, Turkey and several other countries, but their bypass is still the mass. Highly recommend to read them in advance and prepare for the entry into force, because the amount blocked in Russia sites will become more and more.
