The movement “Voice” calls upon the election Commission of St. Petersburg to apply to the court for cancellation of results of elections in 24 municipalities of the city. The appropriate appeal published on the website of “the Voice”.
As stated in the appeal, these requirements are linked to the “rough and demonstrative infringements of the legislation on elections on 8 September, not allowing to reveal the valid will of citizens.”
During the election campaign, “Voice” has repeatedly issued statements about large-scale violations involving violations of procedures and falsifications at all stages of the municipal elections: during their appointment, nomination and registration of candidates, on the day of voting and summarizing the results.
According to the authors, “a key role in the violations played organizing elections municipal election Commission, which often were also the organizers of the violations of the electoral legislation”. Among the gross violations committed on election day, “the Voice” celebrates abnormally high voting at home, physical violence against members of the commissions and their unlawful removal from the plots, the lack of final protocols, ballot stuffing and “carousel” and bribery of voters.
