In March 1965 3.5 thousand us Marines landed in South Vietnam. This was the beginning of a terrible war that lasted a decade. By the end of the year in Vietnam were moved 185 thousand American soldiers, and by 1968 there were already half a million. The US wanted to establish its world domination by intervening in the conflict between young and North of the country, but faced stiff resistance to the army of the North and guerrilla groups. In this war, the Vietnamese people have suffered huge losses, managed to survive and forced States to go back home.
