The Verkhovna Rada has set a record

The Verkhovna Rada of the VIII convocation broke the main record of their predecessors.

As reported by the Committee of voters of Ukraine, the Rada broke the mark of 10 million registered bills.

In particular, on 13 September, BP was 10038 bills (of which 5.6 thousand drafts and 4.2 thousand — orders).

Note that this is the number of registered drafts is an absolute record. So, in the Parliament of VII convocation for all the time it was 7.4 thousand bills in the Parliament of VI convocation (for the first three years) and 8.1 per thousand. The people’s deputies of the V convocation have registered 3.3 thousand dokumentov, and Rada IV convocation (for the first three years) — 7.6 thousand.

The vast majority of bills were submitted by MPs 9,097 thousand, 135 filed by the President of Ukraine and the government of the 807.

“The problem is that the vast majority of these documents are not likely to be accepted. According to statistics, the laws are only 12% of legislative initiatives, others — gathering dust in the office BP. Each document, even the most stupid, requires the estimation of relevant departments and committees, which greatly complicates the work of the Parliament”, — commented the Chairman of the CVU Alexey Purse.
