The US state Department endorsed the idea of Russia on the introduction of peacekeepers in Donbass

In the state Department believe that peacekeepers should be deployed across the conflict zone in the Donbass.

The U.S. Department of state believes that the idea of the Russian authorities to deploy UN peacekeepers in Donbas “worthy of consideration”.

“Any such force should have a broad mandate to ensure peace and security on the territory of Ukraine”, – said the representative of the state Department Heather Nauert.

While the state Department pointed to the need to ensure that peacekeepers were deployed throughout the conflict zone in the Donbass, and not only on the demarcation line of the parties.
