The U.S. Embassy in Ukraine has called the intervention of the occupation authorities of the Crimea in the activities of the local diocese of the UOC-KP as a “threat to religion”.
This is stated in the message of Embassy on Twitter. “Another threat to the belief in the Crimea”, – noted us diplomats.
In addition, the U.S. Embassy urged the international community to condemn the incident. “We urge the international community to condemn the Russian attack on freedom of religion”, – stated in the message.
We will remind, earlier it was reported that the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko called unacceptable the attack in the occupied Crimea to the temple of the Holy equal to the apostles Prince Vladimir and Olga Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Kyivan Patriarchate in Simferopol. The Ministry of culture of Ukraine also urged international human rights organizations to respond to the attack on the temple of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Kyiv Patriarchate in Crimea.
