This is the first ship at the disposal of the US Navy with the Aegis Baseline 9.

According to the press service, John Finn – the first ship at the disposal of the U.S. Navy with Aegis Baseline 9, which allows him to simultaneously conduct air and missile defence, carrying out defence functions and attacks.
It is noted that the ship was launched in pearl Harbor. The ship was named in honour of sailor John Finn, who defended the base at pearl Harbor during the Japanese attack 7 December 1941. Wounded more than 20 times, he continued to fight up until the attack ended. Finn died in 2010 at the age of 100 years.
