The US is deploying a missile defense system in South Korea

This measure was taken in response to continued DPRK missile tests.

The United States began deploying anti-missile systems THAAD in South Korea in response to North Korea testing ballistic missiles.

“The continuing provocative actions of North Korea, including yesterday’s launch of several missiles, only confirm the wisdom of our decision to deploy THAAD in South Korea”, – quotes the US Pacific command Admiral Harry Harris.
