The scientist said that according to recent calculations, the Universe will “smash to pieces” after 30 billion years.
Many ordinary people today are wondering about what constitutes our universe, how and when it was formed, what was before its creation.
Interview answers to this and other issues of the publication “Free press” has given scientist and astrophysicist, a member of the Special astrophysical Observatory RAS, Nizhny Arkhyz Oleg Verkhodanov.
The specialist explained that the Big Bang is not an explosion in the conventional sense of the expression. According to him, this phenomenon is a rapid expansion of space. Verkhodanov said that now increasingly discussed theory of inflationary expansion of the Universe, according to which it was inflated into our world from another dimension like a soap bubble that in the end when something will burst.
Also astrophysicist commented on the hypothesis that black holes could lurk in new unexplored universes. He noted that this probability unfounded, but, nevertheless, has a right to exist.
In addition Verkhodanov drew attention to the fact that our universe is expanding. Thus there is acceleration. As noted by the researcher, these processes began simultaneously with the advent of dark energy, after 400 million years after the Big Bang. What will happen eventually with our world scientist definitely couldn’t answer. However, he recalled that at the last count, the Universe will “smash to pieces” after 30 billion years.
