9% of the population in need of humanitarian aid.
In Ukraine, as at Tuesday, 10 October, 4 million people in need of humanitarian assistance. This was announced by the office of the United Nations in Ukraine.
“In Ukraine, four million people, or almost 9% of the population currently in need of humanitarian assistance. At the same time, the Humanitarian Response Plan 2017 funded at only 25%, that is, the financing is critically low”, – stated in the message.
It is noted that with winter approaching, the UN agencies cooperate with the Ukrainian government and the self-proclaimed “authorities” of the occupied Donbass to provide the necessary assistance to the most vulnerable population along the demarcation line.
