Today in Ukraine is home to about 3 thousand refugees from other countries. This was stated by the Deputy Chairman of the Agency of the UN for refugees in Ukraine Noel Calhoun.
“In Ukraine, there are about 3 thousand refugees – people who have received international protection and anywhere from 600 to 1,5 thousand served on the status of refugees annually, it’s not much,” said Calhoun.
However, she noted that “Ukraine must also make a contribution” in the question of granting asylum to refugees.
She cited the situation of refugees in Lebanon, which, according to Calhoun, about 25% of the population are refugees.
