The Ukrainian Cup Final. “Shakhtar” – “Dynamo”. Announcement

Today in Kharkiv, two strongest clubs of the country will determine the winner of the Cup of Ukraine.

Shakhtar and Dynamo met in the Ukrainian Cup final in 2002. Since then, two of the flagship of the Ukrainian football eight times determined the winner of the title – “the Dynamo” went out five times a winner Shakhtar three times to beat bitter rivals from the capital. Today is a special match, because in case of defeat of “Dynamo” will lose the status of the most titled club in the history of the Ukrainian Cup.

Kharkiv – the territory of “Shakhtar”. And not only for the reason that “miners” decided their home matches at the stadium “Metalist”. The first capital of Ukraine take three final match of the Cup of Ukraine – 2008 “Shakhtar” with the score 2:0 beat Dinamo, and five years later defeated Chornomorets (3:0).

To the final match “Dynamo” and “Shakhtar” have different background. The Pitmen with huge advantage has won the championship, taking seven points from nine matches with the “white-blue”. In Kiev the situation is different – on the 90th anniversary of the club Serhiy Rebrov’s men have managed for the first time in history to lose to Olympique de Marseille. The players had to explain to the fans – Andriy Yarmolenko even venture to say that in the match with “Shakhtar”, “Dinamo”
will die on the field.

At Kiev, responsibility fell – defeat would mean utter failure of a season, the victory will allow to brighten up the unsuccessful performance in the championship and the Champions League, and could keep the team of Serhiy Rebrov and his coaching staff. Shakhtar such pressure does not feel that should play in favor of the trust Paulo Fonseca.
