Pompeo said Wednesday that the state Department will include the “Nord stream – 2” and “Turkish stream” in the number of projects that are subject to sanctions in accordance with the law “On combating the enemies of America by sanctions” (CAATSA). It involves action against the investors who have invested over a million dollars to the Russian pipelines for the export of hydrocarbons, as well as against natural and legal persons, rendering services or providing technologies for such projects.

The project “Northern stream – 2” involves the construction of two pipelines with a total capacity of 55 billion cubic meters per year off the coast of Russia through the Baltic sea to Germany. To date, he’s completed 93%.
