Feel the vibration? No, this is not another useless repair of the road somewhere in the street. This graboid! Underground monsters are getting closer, they almost made it to TV screens, and we have fresh details.
The TV series “Tremors” will be released on the channel Syfy, it is engaged in the production Blumhouse TV and Universal Cable Productions. At the end of August it became known that the pilot episode will shoot the Creator of “the cube”, Vincenzo Natali. Now we meet the first casting news.
To begin with we recall the plot:
Huge worms, cannibals, 25 years ago almost destroyed the small town of Perfection are returned. The aspirations of the people associated with the Vela, who had once defeated the monsters. But over the years a lot has happened, and Val will have to deal not only with graboid, but with age, alcoholism and hero complex.
Yes, the part Kevin Bacon was announced from the very beginning, so it can be put outside the brackets. He will return to the role of Val McKee and will be one of the producers of the series. And to help him in the difficult struggle with monsters will Treiman Emily, Megan ketch and Shiloh Fernandez.
Emily Treuman
Treiman (TV’s “Vinyl”) will play the daughter of Val, Emily, a smart girl with great prospects. In the story her character just attended and drove to Perfection to visit his father. But spent time with him brings a disappointment and only reinforces the opinion that the father will never change.
Megan Ketch
The catch (TV series “Under the dome” and “Eternity”) will play the role of mindy Sterngood, the same girl that saved Val in the first film. Now this is a young woman, a charismatic doctor. She’s hiding something, and that makes it unexpected threat. Interestingly, little mindy in 1989 was played by Ariana Richards, and after twelve years he returned to this role in the third part of the franchise. Apparently, replacement of the actress can be considered another proof that the new series will ignore the continuation of the original picture.
Shiloh Fernandez
Finally Fernandez, star of the remake of “evil dead”, will play Nico Garza, the man who kills the time to Perfection, working in the company Earl (presumably, the same one from the first movie?) with a cute name Graboid Waste are gobbling up company. He waits for the right moment to make a new step, because the last thing he wants is to turn into Val, which is stuck in the boondocks all these years.
